“But apart from that, man, tried and true solid old school death here, with little flourishes like what I can only assume is a bass solo in ‘Smoking Mortal Remains’ spicing things up in all the best of ways, the band not worrying about being technical or, really, cool in any way shape or form, instead just plowing ahead, all four faces down, grimacing, hair covering everything except the unabashed love of death metal, which comes through loud and proud in sludge-laden closer, and album highlight, ‘Wolves Curse’.”
